A totally new breed of low-alcohol beer. Mikkeller calls this a “Flemish Primitive” – named after a group of artists that brought a completely new vibe to painting – and it’s made using his very own yeast strain and his very own Riesling grape juice. It makes being in limbo feel pretty cool.
Mikkeller is probably the best brewer in the entire world. But it hasn’t always been that way. Back in 2006, Mikkel Borg Bjergsø was a maths and physics teacher experimenting with home brew in his kitchen in Copenhagen. Mikkeller went on to become a roaming brewer, roving the world creating weird and wonderful beers in other people’s breweries. Now he exports his innovative micro-brewed beers to 40 countries around the world and achieves some of the highest scores ever seen on RateBeer.com.
